GGC - Gotland Game Conference

Well, school is over and now I feel more or less obligated to make this small announcement about a big event called GGC.
What is GGC? It stands for Gotland Game Conference and is a game competition held every year where (mostly) students within the "Game Design"-program from the University of Gotland shows off their creations, go to lectures held by big people who shares their own experience within the business, and then at the last day there is a big ceremony where prizes are given away to the games which the jury liked the most.
It was presented on the news where our game, Clapper, was mentioned and our Producer was interviewed but sadly it has been taken down from their web page. Our game was a rhythm game, like guitar hero or rock band, but instead of using a guitar your used these bear-paw-gloves to clap your hands with the other player in time with the music. It was actually a really big hit at the con and at the prize ceremony our I think our game was nominated in every category and we won two of them. The first one was "Best Presentation" and the second one was "Best First Year Project". All in all it was awesome!! Even though I had to sacrifice going to Gothenburg and watch Speedway and see, live, Nicki Pederson run his bike into one of the Swedish competitors and Fredrik Lindgren bringing it all home. But it was worth missing!!
There were people from Avalanche, Massive, Adobe, Paradox, Three Rings, Ubisoft(I think we can all agree that this guy kicked ASS!!) and even from Blizzard that attended the conference and some of them were even part of the jury.
Next up for Clapper is gonna be SGA(Swedish Game Awards) aaaaaand that's all........

11 things you don't need to know about me:
1. Transexual since 1992
2. I don't like yaoi manga, I tried reading a few that scored high on the toplists but all I found was bullshit. However, I will admit that I at times read fanfiction though.
3. For the past half year I've pretty much eaten pasta with meatballs every single day(almost). It's fast, easy and yummy~
4. Just a few years ago I didn't know what the word "Prada" stood for so when everyone around me hyped about this supposedly "awesome" movie called
"The Devil wears Prada" I actually thought it was an action flick. I've never been so disappointed in a movie
5. So far I've drawn five (almost) finsihed manga oneshots(15-25 pages long) since I was 15. I don't find any one of them to be particularly good or well-drawn but feel proud of
every single one of them all the same.
6. I like my friends and enjoy their company but most of the time, I just prefer to be alone. It's nothing personal.
7. I pick my nose on a regular basis.
8. I still love watching cartoons!!
9. I think of my closest friends and loved ones as family.
10. Unless you're family, I don't give a fuck about drugs and you can have your cancer-sticks but I will NEVER. EVER. Accept alcohol in any kind of context. I'm convinced that it's the devils
piss delivered in a bottle and I despise it from the very core of my motherfucking soul!!
11. I believe dreams is a good way to keep you alive so I made it one of my dreams to complete every game in existence!! That should keep me going for a while.

by In Flames and is called "Free Fall"....... But other than that I dig the SQ Chips CD with remixes from classic Square Enix games!! \m/
3. What do you prefer to use for drawings? Pencil for sketching and Tablet and Copic-pens for coloring mostly. I also love to draw on whiteboards and foggy mirrors~~~
4. Favorite thing to draw? Pretty gurls mostly........... And big muscles.......... On the pretty gurls!! OwO
5. Do you roleplay? Sadly no, not at the moment.
6. Favorite color/colors? Blue
7. Out of your OCs, which one's your favorite and why? I guess it's Yingo because she's the one who's really stuck to my memory... She lives in a ghost house with her pet shark "Guppy Jr"~ o3o)b
8. What do you think of pokémon? Digimon was better but I'm definitly a fan. I've seen at least a few episodes from all the seasons and I still play the games as they're released.

The offset of a new Era

So, some of you guys know about this and some of you don't so allow me to explain...
...SUPRISE!! I'M MOVING TO GOTLAND!!
....... Yeah!
I recently sent applications to two different schools, one 30 minutes away(Södertörn) from home and the other 3 hours above water away(Högskolan på Gotland) from home. I didn't get into Södertörn but Gotland was rather quick to accept and now I'm moving into the cozy town of Visby to study Game programming and design.
However, this does not by any means mean that I have given up on my mangaka-dreams!! It's simply a detour in order to brighten my future and open some doors. Besides, making games has always been a dream of mine even before I discovered manga.
I've received two offers for small campus apartments, outside of the ring-wall, and one back building, inside the ring-walls and thus much closer to the school, that was built in the 18's. The other day I met up with the guy who owned the back building and he gave me the key so that I could check it out before deciding whether or not I want to lease it. I can't afford it by myself but my maybe-kinda-sorta-soon-to-be landlord said that, if it was alright with me, he could talk to some other people interested in the place to be my roommate and thus the rent would decrease considerably.
I just packed up all my stuff and I'm going to Gotland tomorrow to check out all the apartments and decide where to live for the next few years. I probably be going home quite often though on the weekends and stuff~ o3o)b
Because of this, the last few weeks has been kinda stressful for me. I don't feel stressed, or nervous, or anything like that actually but my sub-conscious is telling me otherwise by giving me sporadic stomachaches and continuous nightmares. That son of a bitch D: Other than that, I'm good! o3o This'll be an true adventure I'm sure!!
In other news, I went to a garage sale today and bought 44 PS2 games for a total of 180 kr(about 18 bucks i think give or take)!!!11 HOLYYSHIETEVENTHOUGHMOSTOFTHEGAMESWERECRAPANDIMAYNEVEREVERPLAYSOMEOFTHEMIJUSTCOULDNOTFIGHTOFFTHETEMPTATIONOFTHATAWESOMEAWESOMEPRIZE!!! SPELL CHECKER GTFO!!!
